Frequently Asked Questions
Packaging
Pieces are packaged in contemporary metal boxes with flocked lining. Be warned that some of the boxes have a sliding lid! In order to make my jewellery brand as sustainable as possible I have made significant moves towards making the packaging plastic free or using recycled materials. To read more about the sustainability of my brand then please check out my blog Photography The photographs of me in my studio were taken by Paul Bullivant for the North Bristol Artists portrait project. He is building up an archive of 100 members of the NBA in their studio and with their work. To look at more of Pauls photos go to www.paulbullivant.co.uk. |
Caring for your jewellery
If you follow these few tips, your jewellery will continue to look fantastic. All silver jewellery will tarnish if exposed to air, so try storing jewellery in separate airtight bags - this prevents tarnish and stops pieces rubbing against each other. Jewellery can also be effected by the chemicals in perfume, hairsprays and creams, so avoid wearing your jewellery in the shower or when swimming. To clean your jewellery, soak it in warm, soapy water and use a soft tooth brush to remove any dirt. Pieces will then need to airdry on tissue. To remove tarnish, either a silver dip or polishing cloth can be used to restore shine. However, please do not use the polishing cloth on pieces with a matt finish, as this will start to alter the finish to make it more shiny. Shop Currently I do not have an online shop. Instead I have linked my website to my Etsy Shop to enable you to purchase my work on-line. Website All content on this website is the copyright of the artist, Jennifer Payne. Jewellery All pieces are handmade using traditional silversmithing techniques. This means that each piece is unique and may vary slightly from the images on this website. |
